Bole ready for use (with rabbit glue), Masserini
This is the natural bole already mixed with rabbit glue in the right proportions and with the appropriate procedures. It is therefore a product ready for use in the field of traditional gouache gilding. Once the bole has been applied, it can be smoothed and polished with fine sandpaper 1000-1500-2000 or with steel wool 0000 or with a porcupine hair or short bristle brush. Wet the bolus with a solution of water and glue or other "collection" recipes and then place the leaf. Proceed with the burnishing of the gold leaf with the agate stone until the desired brilliance is obtained.
It will only need to be added water and heated in a bain-marie, filtered and then it will be ready to be spread on the base prepared with the ammanitura.
