Mini icon boards
These very small icons boards are made of seasoned lime wood and dried further in the oven.
In front they are smooth (flat) or with the cradle (hollowed out).

The icons boards are sold in two versions: RAW (only wood) or WITH GESSO (with paint, canvas, polished gesso). Normally at the gessoed icons boards we also include wood treatment (side and back) with anti-woodworm and anti-mold primer and walnut-colored water-based varnish. The icons boards are plastered according to the canons with glue lapin (of rabbit), canvas, gesso of Bologna and white of Meudon or only Bologna (for pond painting, upon request gessoed all Meudon). Preparation of the gessoed surface and sanding are carried out by hand with great care. The icons boards are ready for painting and gilding. Some possible imperfections are due to manual work, we recommend polishing with 800-1000 thin abrasive paper the parts where the gold leaf will be placed.
