PRUSSIAN BLUE italian pigment Dolci
Prussian Blue is a dark blue pigment.
Discovered in 1706 by Diesbach and Dippel. It is obtained by reaction between potassium ferrocyanide and iron ions; the color is so intense and characteristic that it makes this reaction suitable for the detection of iron or cyanides.
It strongly dyes both the brush and the water (or turpentine) in which you dip it, for this reason it is advisable to change both the brush and the water to prevent it from mixing with other dyes.
