Mayan Red
Produced as an absorbent pigment from attapulgite and PR 224.
This Maya red is supposed to be very lightfast.
Like all Maya pigments, it is used in aqueous binders.

Aluminum magnesium phyllosilicate containing PR 224
Extremely stable to bad weather, light, chemical agents and temperatures up to about 200°C.
Use: In the fine arts for the preparation of watercolors, tempera, oil colors, acrylics.
