Pure chromium oxide green is an inorganic mineral pigment.
This pigment is obtained through the reduction of sodium dichromate with sulphur, at high temperature; for pure, the thermal decomposition of chromium compounds such as CrO3 or ammonium dichromate is used.
It is a green color with a very pure tone, it is considered absolutely stable, unalterable by light and air, harmless, it retains its brilliance even in mixtures with whites.
Formula: Cr2O3 – Dichromium trioxide.
Used in artistic and industrial painting, cement coloring, etc.
HYDRATED CHROMIUM OXIDE (CrO = 63.86% – OH = 36.14%) is also available, a pigment with a very pure emerald green tone, used above all in the artistic field.
