Cyprus Limonite, Italian pigment Dolci
Cyprus limonite natural pigment is a purified and ground natural yellow Earth, composed of iron oxide, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and others.
It comes in transparent yellow microgranules and comes from the island of Cyprus. It has good stability to light and humidity, but not to lime.
Used since the times of the ancient Romans, it is still applied today in tempera and oil paints.
