White denatured alcohol 99, 1 litre
Special thinner for shellac with high solvent power. Is a component of painting cleaning mixtures (mixed). It guarantees quick drying and no greyness. It is used in the field of wood polishing, in particular in the restoration of antique furniture. It is a specific solvent for diluting shellac and for dissolving shellac flakes. Miscible with water, acetone, ether, etc.
HOW TO USE:
Once you have identified the shellac suitable for the finish you want to obtain, dissolve it in Solve 99, in an initial ratio of 300 g. per liter. Wait 24 hours, filter the solution obtained and then proceed to apply it as a base coat on the support of interest. When proceeding to the finishing phase it is advisable to reduce the concentration of shellac by adding 200 gr. of Solve 99 every 100 gr. of initial solution. This will result in a decidedly more workable product.
