In the three aisles of the Chapel, located inside the Palace of the Normans in Palermo, Byzantine mosaics, among the most important on the island, and pictorial decorations of the Arab school, evidence of the cosmopolitan culture of the court of Roger II, are preserved side by side. The book offers the reader the opportunity to get to know this extraordinary monument down to its most hidden details, such as the wooden ceiling presented here for the first time in its entirety after recent restoration.
