Celadonite - [fr. seladon - green paint] - a mineral variety of glauconite, sometimes contains more Na and Fe or Mg and Al. The composition and properties are almost the same as those of glauconite, but it is formed under different conditions. Usually born from hydrothermal pseudomorphs on Fe-Mg silicates, in voids in basalt, in veins and nests among contaminated marbles. More durable than glauconite.
