ICELANDIC VIOLET EARTH (SNAEFFELSJOEKULL RED) Kremer pigment

Intense red-brown-violet natural earth, from Iceland.

In the west of Iceland, around the Snaefellsjoekull volcano, an extraordinary variety of minerals is found. In collaboration with landscape designer Peter Lang, we found three beautiful earth colors for midsummer. Colorful mountain slopes and black basalt decorate the landscape of the coastal region. Greenstone formations flow gently into the mossy landscape; punctuated by bursts of red and yellow from nature.

It is suitable for oil, acrylic, lime/fresco, watercolor/tempera.
