This adhesive oil paint (lead free), cooked in an autoclave under the exclusive formula has undergone several treatments decantation and filtration works and provides outstanding longevity.
The mission for gilding Charbonnel Lefranc is famous all over the world. The mission is a special type of paint and acts as part of the gilding as glue for gold leaf.
Is applied evenly with a soft brush on wood or plaster. At the moment it is applied gold leaf should not be sticky-sticky-damp but almost dry. The drying time of the mission is about 12-14 hours depending on the thickness of the applied layer, temperature and humidity. After browning let it dry for a month before applying protective coatings.
Suitable for gilding large areas, work outside, and a little dusty in dry conditions.
