YELLOW OXIDE Italian pigment Dolci
Yellow iron oxide is an inorganic mineral pigment.
Obtained from the mineral litharge and used since Egyptian times.
It dries slowly, requires little thinner and forms a compact and opaque fluid paste. The resulting tint is also opaque, and when more diluted it takes on golden tones. It has a medium coloring power.
