Natural sienna is a natural inorganic mineral pigment, known since ancient times. It is obtained by crushing and grinding the raw material coming mainly from Tuscany.
It has high light stability and good humidity stability. It requires a low amount of thinner, and creates a liquid and slightly powdery paste. Furthermore, it has an intense shade, medium-low tinting power and good covering power.
Recommendation for use: It can be used for different decorative techniques, such as oil, tempera, encaustic and fresco.
