Earth of Cyprus natural type D, Italian pigment Dolci
Cyprus natural umber, also known simply as Cyprus Earth, is a natural inorganic mineral pigment, known since ancient times. It is obtained by grinding the raw material found in nature.
It has high light stability and good humidity stability. It requires a medium quantity of thinner to obtain a fluid-liquid, smooth and homogeneous paste with medium-low coloring power. Furthermore, it has good covering power.
Recommendation for use: It can be used for various decorative techniques, such as oil, tempera, encaustic and fresco.
