Burnt umber is a pigment known since ancient times, available in nature, and obtained by grinding and calcining the raw material.
It is a land deriving from Italian territories which has a brown tone and has good stability to light and humidity.
It has good covering power and can be used in any painting technique such as fresco, tempera, encaustic, oil.
Composition: Iron oxide, clay silicates.
