Micaceous gold, pearlescent, Italian pigment Dolci
They are pearlescent pigments formed from mica in a lamellar structure of iron oxide. The pigments are semi-transparent and reflective thanks to their smooth surface and high degree of refraction. The pigments are not toxic.
Very particular effects can be obtained by mixing other pigments such as earths, lacquers, oxides. They can be used in water, lime, acrylic and vinyl resins.
It can be emulsified with Edelwachs wax or with gum arabic or with egg tempera
