Brentonico green earth is a natural inorganic mineral pigment, known since ancient times and widely used in the Classical and Renaissance ages. It is obtained by purifying and grinding the raw material available in the Verona area.
It has good stability to light, temperature and humidity. When diluted it appears as a smooth and homogeneous paste and dries quickly. In the artistic field it is much sought after for its characteristic semi-transparency. It has poor covering power.
Recommendation for use: It can be used for different decorative techniques, such as oil, tempera, encaustic and fresco.
