Roma black is a natural inorganic mineral pigment. It is obtained from the purification, drying and grinding of earthy lignite, mainly coming from Rome and Verona. Pigment known since ancient times and widely used in the 15th century.
It has good stability to light and humidity. Requires a low amount of thinner to form a slightly earthy fluid paste. It dries quickly and has low coloring power. It has a medium-high covering power.
Recommendation for use: It can be used for different decorative techniques, such as oil, tempera, encaustic and fresco.
